Next step course options

Progression to full time SVQ1 or 2 Hairdressing or Level 5 Make-up, Level 5 Beauty or Level 5 Nail Technician

How will I be assessed?

Practical assessments carried out under observation Digital Essential knowledge

Why should I choose this course?

This course is an introduction to hairdressing and make up skills. Completion offers progression to SVQ2 Hairdressing at SCQF level 5 or Level 6 Media make-up.

• junior hairstylist
• make-up assistant
• Trainee nail technician

What are the entry requirements?

You should have

•  two National 4/equivalent qualifications would be beneficial
• enthusiasm and motivation for the make-up industry
•  creative ability is an advantage

What are the interview arrangements?

Group interview with skills test.
