SVQ 4 SOCIAL SERVICES AND HEALTHCARE

Intro to the course:

This course is delivered in the evening. The Level 4 Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 9 allows candidates to demonstrate competence in job related skills in their particular area of work. This qualification has been designed in partnership with the Sector Skills Council, Skills for Care and Development to ensure relevance to the sector. You will undertake 4 mandatory units, 4 optional units and career skills units.

Who is the course for?

Those working in the care industry who wish to gain further promotion. Must be working at a senior/deputy manager level.

What will I study?

• maintain effective communication systems and practice Lead practice for health and safety in the work setting
• take responsibility for the continuing professional development of yourself and others 
• lead practice that promotes the safeguarding of individuals
