EMERGENCY FIRST AID IN THE WORKPLACE

Intro to the course:

This one day course is suitable for anyone that wishes to understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider in the workplace.

Who is the course for?

The course is for anyone that wishes to attain knowledge and practical competences required to deal with a range of workplace first aid situations.

What will I study?

An understanding of the role and responsibilities of a first aider. How to minimise the risk of infection to self and others. Identify the need for consent to provide first aid.You will learn how to conduct a scene survey and a primary survey of a casualty. You will learn how to provide appropriate assistance when necessary.You will be able to learn how to identify when it is suitable for CPR using a manikin.You will learn and have an understanding of the recovery position and administer first aid in different emergency situations.
