Level 6 Photography and Creative Digital Media

Intro to the course:

This course focuses on developing knowledge and understanding in practical photography and creative digital media. It will enable you to explore your interest in both subject areas and will prepare you for progression to higher studies and/or employment.

You will be encouraged to develop the creative and technical skills required for a career in photography or digital media.  Development of your critical thinking skills will be a focus, as will seeking peer/tutor feedback to inform practices.  On successful completion you will achieve an NPA in Photography at SCQF level 5 together with a range of SQA Photography units at level 5 and 6 to enable you to progress to HNC in Photography or HNC Digital Media

What are the entry requirements?

From of the following: 

• Foundation apprenticeship in Creative Digital Media or Gradu8 Creative digital media 
• Two National 5 certificates, at level C or above including English are essential 
• A keen interest in photography or digital media
• Acceptance will require a successful interview 

 

What are the interview arrangements?

Group information session including an individual interview with lecturing staff.

Fees for full time is £1008

This course is eligible for Bursary.

You will be taught by a team of industry experts with a wealth of experience in all aspects of photography and digital media 

A camera and resources will be funded by bursary award 

Full time course: This course will run 16 hours per week for 36 weeks
