HNC ACCOUNTING (WITH FINANCIAL SERVICES)

Intro to the course:

You will gain the skills and knowledge required for working within an accounting environment or if progressing to an HND Accounting. You will learn about financial accounting and recording financial information. You will learn through work placement, group work, lectures, industry visits and a variety of guest speakers.

Next step course options

You may apply for direct entry to the 2nd year of the HND in Accounting on successful achievement of the HNC with a minimum of 14 credits, which must include all mandatory units and an A or B in the Graded Unit. The HNC Accounting and HND Accounting Group Awards are recognised by: · Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) · Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) · Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) and provide articulation to their professional qualifications and exemptions from certain examinations

A wide range of assessment materials will be used.

What are the entry requirements?

Any of the following: · One relevant Higher · Relevant NQ/NPA qualifications at SCQF Level 6, including Foundation Apprenticeship · Equivalent vocational qualifications from other awarding bodies

· Relevant work experience with satisfactory reference You will also need: · a good level of digital literacy · a genuine interest in accounting If your first language is not English, it is recommended that you possess English for Speakers of Other languages (ESOL) at SCQF level 5 or an overall score of 5.5 in IELTS

What are the interview arrangements?

You will be invited to attend an informal interview and group information/enrolment session

Fees for infill is £125
