South Lanarkshire College joined by East Kilbride and Strathaven MP, Joani Reid, to celebrate British Beauty Week and the ongoing success of SLC students. 

British Beauty Week this year celebrated the ongoing changes within the beauty industry, marked by product and manufacturing innovation, technology and AI, and the growing importance of sustainability.

With links to leading industry partners, a curriculum embedded with core and meta skills, and our award-winning lecturers being experts in their respective fields - at South Lanarkshire College, we are preparing our over 300 Hairdressing and Beauty students to be ready for the new and emerging challenges facing the beauty industry and their careers.

South Lanarkshire College's Hairdressing and Beauty courses are delivered in purpose-built salons, alongside students gaining commercial experience through external placements with a range of employers. Including some of our past students having the opportunity to undertake work experience on motion picture sets thanks to SLC's links with a range of industry partners.

Our positive ethos and culture as a college transmits to students and has ensure a positive impact on student outcomes, leading to SLC continuing to have the highest attainment rates in Scotland for further education provision.

Courses within our Hairdressing and Beauty curriculum are open now for some evening courses and our winter intake of students, with courses ranging from Creative Make-Up, Nail Technician, Hair and Make-Up Skills, and Barbering.
