Skills for Independence is for those who are early in their journey to enter the world of work and develop fundamental skills for independent living. This course is designed for adults who require additional support for learning. It develops core skills and promotes independent living, personal development and employability skills.

Core skills are at the centre of all elements of the course. This is directly taught and developed during specific units as well as being holistically embedded in all aspects of the course.

What are the entry requirements?

You should be able to work independently and with others. 

Course entry is subject to interview to assess which level of course is best for you.

What are the interview arrangements?

The interview is to determine if the course is a good fit for you. During it, we will discuss previous education experiences, plans for the future and additional support needs. It will be with members of the lecturing team and may take 30-60 minutes. You will be contacted by the team to arrange a suitable time. You should be accompanied by a parent/carer, or someone who knows you well and can discuss your support requirements.

Fees for full time is £1008

This course is eligible for Bursary.
