Children, Young People and The Promise minister visits South Lanarkshire College

Minister for Children, Young People and The Promise, Siobhian Brown MSP, visited to South Lanarkshire College to meet with and speak to the College's childcare staff and students about their studies and the future of childcare in Scotland.

Students highlighted to the minister the important role childcare professionals play in Scotland and their hopes for how the Scottish Government can work to improve career and placement opportunities for students.

The minister also discussed with staff and the College's Principalship the role that colleges have in supporting care experienced students and how the sector can uphold and fulfill The Promise.

We look forward to welcoming the minister back to the College in the future to engage with how we can enchance and improve care experienced student's college experience
