This course is suitable for anyone who has an interest in politics or social science.
Introduction to UK politics-Prime Minister , Westminster and first past the post.
The Scottish Parliament-The First Minister , Holyrood and Additional Member System.
USA-President , Congress and Supreme Court.
Political Ideologies -Liberalism , Conservatism , Socialism and Nationalism.
Voting Behaviour-Case Studies and elections.
External Influences-Pressure groups and media#.
Progression if suitable to SWAP Access to Teaching/ social science , NC Social Science or if the entry requirements HND Social Science.
