This course is aimed at those who wish to change career into policing, but are currently unable to attend a standard college course. It is designed to prepare the students for police entrance exams, both theory and fitness, and prepare them for the world of work in that sector. Currently Police Scotland are on a massive recruitment drive requiring thousands of officers and this is a perfect time for this course.

This course is aimed at those who wish to change into a career in policing and require some directed focus on the application process, to prepare them well for the interview and entrance exam.
It is also possible for students who are currently with South Lanarkshire College to attend this course if they wish to top up their knowledge and get more tailored learning experience with the police recruitment window coming up.
The course covers:
Students can choose to complete the course and seek employment with the Police service, or look at furthering their understanding with our HNC Police Studies course or HNC Legal Services course.
There will be no formal assessment however there will be informal assessment throughout to give insight as to how candidates will be assessed once applying to the Police Service. These assessments are a chance for students to practice.
This is an exciting course aimed at anyone who has an interest in joining Police Scotland. Our preparatory course will help you build your skills, confidence and knowledge around the roles and responsibilities of the Police Service.
The units you will undertake focus on first aid, interview skills, culture and diversity and police roles and responsibilities, which are exactly what you will need moving forward with your career in the Police Service.

The class runs on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm
