This course is ideal for anyone wanting to develop their career in the business admin or IT sectors. It will suit school leavers or those looking to change career.

It is also suitable if you wish to enter employment. You will have opportunities to develop vocational and employability skills relevant in today’s office and home working environment in all sectors. 

What will I study?

You'll gain skills in using IT Office applications in spreadsheets, database, word-processing powerpoint. You'll receive an introduction to business accounts, contract law, office skills and business communication. 

The focus of delivery will be on practical activities and classroom-based learning, delivered through a series of lectures, discussions, practical workshops, fieldtrips, and practical project work involving self-directed study.

Ongoing assessment through a range of practical activities, candidate folios, self-evaluation, planning and review using secure SQA assessment support packs.
