Intro to the course:

Scottish Wider Access Programmes (SWAP) are for adults who have few or no formal qualifications and who have been out of full-time education for at least three years (five years if you have Highers or an Higher National qualification. This course provides mature students with the skills, knowledge and qualifications for progression to HNC study. It will prepare you for your next steps in career in law, criminology or police studies. You will learn a range of practical skills and theory transferable to various roles. It is ideal for those wanting to progress to HNC study in law or legal services.

What will I study?

You will study Law of Contract, Property Law and Scots Law. You'll learn through groupwork, lectures, industry visits and guest speakers.

Next step course options

Degree or HNC/D in Law or other discipline such as HNC Police Studies, Accounting, Human Resource Management or Business.
