Intro to the course:

This course has been designed to cover a range of business and administrative skills required for employment in all sectors. This qualification will provide you with an understanding of the key business drivers such as finance, marketing and customer care along with the underlying skills of administration, communication and ICT that are relevant in today’s dynamic economy.

Who is the course for?

This course is for you if you wish to progress to higher studies in business and/or administration and IT.  Alternatively, you may wish to improve your knowledge of today's business environment. and enhance your IT skills.

  • IT Software: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Database, Presentations
  • Communication, Marketing and Social Media
  • Recording Cash Transactions and Practical Office Skills and Technologies
  • Skills for Customer Care, enterprise and organising events
  • Reception skills and data entry

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed using practical activities, reports and observations

Where can this course lead?

This course prepares you for higher studies in administration, business and human resource management, and junior roles in business, events, finance, healthcare, HR, hospitality, IT, marketing, retail, and the voluntary and public sectors.

What are the entry requirements?

ICT, Numeracy and Communication at National 4 plus a further relevant National 4 award or and equivalent recognised qualification 

What are the interview arrangements?

You will be invited to attend a group interview with the opportunity to discuss individual requirements on a one-to-one basis.
