Who is the course for?

This course is for adults who need additional support for learning. We teach the course in small groups. Places are limited.

What will I study?

Core skills are at the centre of all elements of the course. Subjects include: money and budgeting, communication skills, working with others, IT including communication applications, enterprise and fundraising and employability skills.

How will I be assessed?

Ongoing assessment through a range of practical activities.

This course will help you gain skills in communication, literacy, numeracy, IT, work preparation, team working and volunteering.

By gaining the skills from this course, you will improve your chances of going into further education and work.

What are the entry requirements?

One or more of the following: - You should be able to work independently, participate in small group activities and communicate at level 3 - You'll be invited to interview before we offer a place.

What are the interview arrangements?

Interview on campus with lecturing team, and a placement test.
