This course covers essential skills and knowledge for a career in book-keeping.

Who is the course for?

Continuing professional development (CPD) for anyone in a book-keeping role, or who wants to work in book-keeping.

What will I study?

The course includes fundamentals for studying book-keeping. It allows for progression in education or employment. You’ll learn through groupwork, lectures, industry visits and guest speakers.

How will I be assessed?

SQA secure assessments.

What are the entry requirements?

One or more of the following: 

  • Communication, numeracy and IT skills at SCQF level 5 
  • Relevant work experience
  • Access to the award is at the discretion of the centre.  In general, entry should be open to any candidate who can demonstrate, by formal qualification or experience, a reasonable expectation of completing the course.

What are the interview arrangements?
