Jane McCartney NHS 24 Chair of College Board of Management Involved for many years with learning and development, both as an HR Director in a number of organisations with responsibility for training, education and continuous development and as an employee and then board member in a further education college. Current role as Director of HR and Corporate Affairs for NHS24 includes responsibility for communication both internally and externally, customer involvement and equality and diversity; all key areas for the college now and in the future. Personally, as a mother of 3 children, I am very aware of the role education plays in the lives of not only young people but people at various stages of their lives and careers. As a board member, I am proud of the achievements the college has made in recent years and keen to continue to be involved in an organisation which has so much to offer individuals, employers and the community. |

J Evans BAcc CA Graduate of Accountancy from Glasgow University then qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young. Left Ernst & Young in 1992 to join the Scottish Enterprise Network, initially in Scottish Enterprise National in Glasgow, moving to Scottish Enterprise Lanarkshire in 1995. Worked as Internal Audit Manager until 2000, and then assumed responsibility for Finance and Corporate Services, including European claims and Risk Management. Joined South Lanarkshire College Board in 2003. |

I Todd Ian is an experienced public sector, senior manager who has worked in a variety of strategic roles across the criminal justice environment for the last 35 years. He was appointed Director, Police Complaints Commissioner for Scotland in December 2008 with responsibility for providing strategic advice and support to the Commissioner, as well as overseeing the day to day running of the organisation. He has served as a police officer retiring as Chief Superintendent from Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary for Scotland in 2005. In this role he was the principle author of a major report into police complaints in Scotland called "Quality of Service". He was Acting Director of the then Scottish Criminal Record Office in the run in to the organisation's absorption within the new Scottish Police Services Authority in 2007. Prior to taking up his current role in December 2008 he held the position of Director of Business Performance at the Risk Management Authority. A resident of South Lanarkshire, Ian is married with two grown up daughters. In his spare time he enjoys supporting his local football team and hill walking. |
