The Faculty is a leading provider of training for construction apprentices in Scotland.

Apprentices studying at South Lanarkshire College who have been made redundant may apply for support from the Stewart & McKenna Apprentice support fund.

Gas operativeGas Training & Assessment Centre

The Gas Training and Assessment Centre run by the Faculty of Construction provides comprehensive training for gas operatives in order to gain industry certification to allow them to work in the gas installation and maintenance industry.

The Construction Faculty was pleased to host the regional Skillbuild competitions in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and the National SkillBuild final in 2010.

Renewable Technologies

Along with excellent facilities within the main College building, the Low Carbon House is used as a base for the delivery of renewable technologies training for the construction industry and for apprentices.  Please follow the link above for more information on this award-winning project.
